A series of pieces in acrylic from 2000-to present. The theme I am exploring is Nature and the Natural world and our relationship to it as humans in a world where we are slowly distancing ourselves from the natural via technology. Clicking on each piece will allow you to view a larger version and titles, dimensions, availability and details. Newest pieces are in Art Gallery 2 page. *New Art Show Added to the Calendar of Events!
Nature has long been an inspiration to me in my work. Here I have explored the subject in varying ways and color schemes, focusing on the vibrant color pairings and sometimes "organ" like shapes of plants to draw a correlation between us and the Natural world as not different but interdependent and similar living beings.
Everything is hand painted, no stencils are used. I use spray paint, latex and acrylic and many tiny brushes to achieve the detail you see in each piece.
Sources of inspiration include: Japanese Contemporary Art, Nature, Nature Documentaries, Graffiti, Graphic Design, Cartoons, Life, Biology, Psychedelia, Music
Some of the pieces are available for exhibition and sale, if you are interested please use the contact form to drop me a line. The pieces can also be bought straight from my Etsy shop
